Normally my son and I have a great experience, They have always been so kind and considerate to my son who has a skin condition (pigmentosa) and has a fear of the clippers. Today my issue is with the check in process. I signed us both in at abou 10:45 and it said 35 minutes - that’s fine. So we waited patently. Their board did not have our names listed up there. I assumed we were so far down the list, we didn’t make it up there yet. And we waited. 45 minutes later, our names still didn’t appear. After about 55 minutes and as three people were leaving, two patrons walked in, signed in verbally with one of the stylists tha just got done, and were told, “we can help you right now,” and walked them in back while we were still waiting. I went to the counter and inquired as to what was going on. Her answer was, “did you sign in? Did you hit submit when it said you’re wait time.” I know the process. I’ve been coming here every 5-8 weeks for the past 5 years - even before they implemented this check in process, and bringing my son for the past 2-3 years. She then responded, “that happens sometimes and we will get you in shortly.” And proceeded to go help the customers that they just walked in and had not even sat down yet. They didn’t even have the foresight to pay attention to whom was waiting for haircuts or say, we apologize and will get you in immediately. They said we have to continue waiting. Extremely disappointed.

I always get a good hair cut at Sports Clips and the stylists are personable as well as attentive. The new check in system is a good idea and has worked well. Times are within a few minutes give or take.

Disappointed we do not receive coupons anymore for all haircut options. In the past Lake Zurich has taken a smaller amount off the bill when we have an MVP coupon (which is the only coupons we receive) but now they deny having done that and wouldn’t accept our coupon last visit. And the wait times have not been close to accurate with the new electronic sign in.
